During the Cayo Perico Heist, players can get a Perico Pistol, known for its compact size and powerful performance. I was able to get my hands on this pistol by getting the keys to a drawer from a drunken Cayo Perico guard.

Also, it’s a random event and can be triggered at many locations. Once the players are close to the places we’re going to discuss, the blue dot will appear on the map, marking the location of that guard.

If the guard will not appear at the locations, switch the lobbies until he appears. Players just need to go to him, where they’ll find him drunk and lying. Loot the guard, and players will find the key and $7,007 from him.

Then, during the Cayo Perico Heist, players can go to El Rubio’s office and get this beautiful compact gun from his desk drawer after unlocking the drawer with the same key.

After unlocking the Perico Pistol, players can find it in the Ammu-Nation Stores. Once you get the key, it’ll be permanently added to your inventory. If players leave, it’ll still be available to them.

Other than that, I tried looting the same guard lying on the road, and this time he gave me only $7,007. Here we’re going to discuss the best possible locations to trigger this event:

Bahama Mamas West

Bahama Mamas West is a nightclub in GTA 5 located on Marathon Avenue in Del Perro, a neighborhood in the western part of Los Santos. Marathon Avenue is a major road that runs through Del Perro, connecting several prominent locations in the area, including the Del Perro Pier and Del Perro Beach.

Players can find the drunk Cayo Perico guard lying outside the nightclub with the Key.

Out Of Towners

Out Of Towners is a building at the Del Perro Pier where players can find the guard lying outside, from where you will get the small key to the drawer with Perico Pistol. The Del Perro Pier is located on the western coast of Los Santos in GTA 5. The exact coordinates of the pier are 1261 Prosperity Street, Del Perro, Los Santos.

To get to the pier, you can travel west from the city center along the Del Perro Freeway, which runs parallel to the coastline. Alternatively, you can drive along the Great Ocean Highway, which runs along the coast and intersects with the Del Perro Freeway.

Singleton’s

Singleton’s is a bar and nightclub on Alta Street in downtown Vinewood, next to Pitchers. During my playthrough, I was able to trigger the event at this place as well, to get my hands on the key for the Perico Pistol.

Hi-Men

Hi-Men is a clothing store on Roy Lowenstein Boulevard in the Rancho neighborhood of Los Santos in GTA 5. The store is on the street’s west side, just south of the intersection with Innocence Boulevard.

Construction Site On Strawberry Avenue

Players can find the Cayo Perico guard lying inside a construction site on Strawberry Avenue in the Mission Row neighborhood of Los Santos. This is another location where you can get to the guard and get the key for the drawer to Cayo Perico Gun.

Liquor Market

The Liquor Market on East Joshua Road in Grapeseed is a convenience and liquor store in GTA 5. It is a small, standalone building situated on the side of the road. This is also one of the locations where I was able to find the Cayo Perico guard lying in front of the store.

The Hen House

The Hen House is a small chicken restaurant and bar on Duluoz Avenue in Paleto Bay in GTA 5. Players can easily access this location to get the key to El Rubio’s office and the Perico Gun.

Hookies

Hookies is a small beachside bar and restaurant on the Great Ocean Highway in North Chumash in GTA 5. I also recommend checking this place out as the Cayo Perico’s guard can be found here, drunk and lying in front of the building.

The Yellow Jack Inn

The Yellow Jack Inn is a popular biker bar and motel on Panorama Drive in the Grand Senora Desert in the Grand Theft Auto 5. This is a location the player can also easily access and has a high percentage of successfully triggering the event.

Rob’s Liquor, Great Ocean Highway

Rob’s Liquor is a chain of liquor stores located throughout the game world of GTA 5. One of the locations is situated on Great Ocean Highway, near the intersection with Route 68, in the western part of the game’s map.

Players can get the Cayo Perico guard to get the key to El Rubio’s office desk drawer.

My Recommendation

I have listed all of the possible locations for the key that would guide players to the pistol’s locations. I think having this pistol is a must-have for all players, as it looks good and is a great piece to attract other players. However, I suggest players get to the Heist before they set out to find the Island.

From my experience, it may seem more difficult on paper than it is. Start your quest to find the Island and you will be there soon enough.
