You may camp almost anywhere in Land Between the Lakes. A Basic Camping Permit is required for each person 18 and over when camping in Basic Camping Facilities. A Dispersed Camping Permit is required when camping in non-designated areas of the recreation area.

Alcoholic beverages in Land Between the Lakes: Possessing alcoholic beverages in violation of any KY or TN State law, regulation, or statue is prohibited. Unattended campfires prohibited. Dead and downed wood can be collected for campfires within Land Between the Lakes. Chainsaws allowed.

Turkey Bay OHV Area Gatehouse | Thursday-Sunday, from 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

All users must enter and exit Turkey Bay OHV Area by way of Road 167 off Woodlands Trace National Scenic Byway. All other accesses are prohibited. Anyone under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian's signature to ride. Kentucky state law prohibits the public consumption of alcohol.

All visitors to Turkey Run State Park must pay the daily entrance fee or produce an annual entrance permit.

While most scenic drives through Land Between the Lakes are free of charge, there is a small $5 fee per vehicle for travelers exploring the Elk & Bison Prairie. The prairie is open dawn to dusk. For safety, guests are asked to stay in their cars at all times while visiting the prairie.

Moss Creek Day Use Area on the north end of LBL is typically the most popular place to swim. There are a few picnic tables and grills as well as toilets.
