Spooky Season is here and what better way to start with some fun Boo Baskets! I had so much fun putting these Halloween Boo Baskets together for the kids. I shared on Instagram that I love creating fun gift baskets for the girls and disguising items they are needing and turning them into a gift. For example, last week we were “blessed” with a freak snow storm. We quickly realized that the girls had outgrown all their cold weather pajamas. I decided to take this opportunity to buy some adorable jammies along with some other cute items and package them up into a gift basket for the kids.
Here is what went into this years Halloween Boo Baskets for the Girls. Make sure to also check out the adorable Halloween Pennant Flags I designed! You can download and print from home and they would go perfectly in your Boo Baskets this year! ALSO NOW AVAILABLE IN GIFT TAGS!!!

What is in the Boo Baskets?
The main gift in the Boo Baskets were these adorable Halloween Pajamas. I love how they are light pink with the black and white kittens in witch hat. I felt like it was festive but also subtle enough that the girls could wear them well after Halloween. Who doesn’t love cute kittens in hats?
I got Duncan this sweater that says “Hey Boo”….because, well it was just too cute not to snag. I also got myself a “Hey Boo” T-shirt so I could match him. Here are some other fun pajamas and festive shirts you could use.
I love getting the girls new bows. Isn’t that one of the best parts about having girls? My dear friend, Kelsey at The Elleberry Company makes the cutest bows and when I saw her Halloween styles I instantly knew MY girls needed them. I got the black and white spider web print bow and the simple orange and white polka-dot. I especially love how the orange and white polka-dot bow could be worn year round. And really, the spiderweb one could be too. Head to The Elleberry Company’s Private Facebook Group to be the first to know of new collections and to order. Tell Kelsey that Project Whim sent you!
Some other fun “little” items I threw in their Boo Baskets were…

It's simple! You choose two neighbors, leave a basket of Halloween goodies on their doorstep, ring the doorbell and RUN! Inside the baskets are treats, little Halloween gifts and You've Been Booed instructions for the neighbors to keep the "boo" going.
Fill spooky basket for kids with Halloween candy, Halloween toys and Halloween books, plus fun things like socks, bubbles and goodie-bag items and watch how excited they'll get.
To make this easy craft, all you need is sandwich bags and a Sharpie marker.Draw jack-o-lantern faces onto each of the bags, then fill them with orange candy or chips.Tie with a black and white bow for an extra festive touch.
Pack each bag with goodies, as well as a door sign and instruction card for how to share the surprise with others. Use a hole punch on the tag and tie it onto your Boo Bag with twine, yarn or ribbon to finish off your gift. (But be sure not to sign your name!)
You can get your hands on a Boo Bucket by ordering a Happy Meal at your local McDonald's. The Happy Meal options include; a hamburger or chicken nuggets with a side of fries or apple slices, and a drink of your choice.
Spooky baskets are essentially Easter baskets but Halloween themed. So, instead of bunnies and eggs, you fill them with pumpkins and ghosts but keep the candy. At this point, you're either going, “o*kay?” or reacting like I did, which was “Oh my gosh, that's so cute!
A boo is an anonymous goodie bag that you leave on someone's front doorstep. It could be a neighbor, a friend, someone from church or anyone else you want to surprise with something sweet. But the point is to be discreet and encourage folks to pass on the “boo” to a new person.
If you aren't familiar with the term, it is a neighborhood game where one neighbor creates a basket filled with Christmas treats, secretly leaves the basket on a neighbor's doorstep with the “you've been jingled” sign explaining how to play, then rings the doorbell and runs out of sight!
Q: What should I put in a burr basket? A: You can put in anything you'd like! Some popular items include cozy socks, hot cocoa mix, scented candles, plush blankets, and tasty treats. Get creative and personalize it for the recipient's tastes.
The idea behind “booing” is that one person leaves a basket or bag of treats on someone's doorstep with a note and a “boo” sign. The recipient then refills the basket with treats. They then include a similar or the same sign and secretly deliver it to another neighbor who hasn't been “booed” yet.
When Do You Give a Boo Basket? Some mamas choose to hang on to their baskets until Halloween to make the day extra special. Other mamas choose to give Boo Baskets on October 1 so their littles can enjoy the fall treats all month long as the holiday excitement builds.
