As adults become a bigger and bigger part of the Lego audience, the idea of getting your loved one building bricks for Valentine’s Day no longer sounds like a childish idea.

For years now Lego has been enjoying a renaissance where they’re regularly voted as one of the most trusted companies in the world and have expanded their business to where their sets are no longer bought just for children, but by adults looking for stress relief or simply a fun hobby.

What adults have realised is that as well as relieving stress, Lego is actually a very social experience, which is why boxes now indicate whether they’re something that would work well to build with a partner or in groups.

The expanding audience has meant lots of different types of sets have started to appear, from models of classic cars to a working typewriter.

There’s now also lots of sets that would be ideal for a Valentine’s Day gift, either because it’s something your partner is interested in or because they’re already romantically themed.

The sets below are the most obvious Valentine’s Day gifts to suggest but it really all depends what sort of things you and your partner are into. This page on the Lego website has other suggestions, including a giant-sized model of the Eiffel Tower and a Polaroid camera, but whatever works for you.

The best Lego gift sets for Valentine’s Day 2024

Lego Bouquet of Roses – £54.99

You can’t really give a Lego box of chocolates to someone (although there are minifigure sized ones) but the other classic Valentine’s Day gift works perfectly in Lego form.

This bouquet of red roses is part of the Botanicals range, that has become very popular in recent years and now includes everything from a Bonsai Tree to an Orchid.

Lego Roses – £12.99

If you’re not quite convinced that Lego is the most romantic of construction toys, then you can dip your toe in more gently with these two red roses.

The age rating is 8+, which indicates they’re quite easy to build for even Lego novices. Plus, you can both build them at once and then give each other the completed model.

Lego Flower Bouquet – £54.99

If you prefer a more varied selection of flowers then this bouquet including daises, asters, and a couple of pink roses.

You’ll have to find a vase for it but although these flowers won’t need any water the Lego pieces are actually made from sustainable plant extracts.

And if you like what you see, there’s also the similar Wildflower Bouquet, which can be combined for a giant-sized display.

Lego Heart Ornament – £10.99

If you want to make your love of each other, and of Lego, a bit more public, then this simple heart-shape ornament is another starter set for Lego novices.

The idea is that you can hang it from your door or window but since it’s Lego you can customise it to fit anywhere, including on the front of other Lego models.

Lego Flowers in Watering Can – £24.99

Another fun option is this dinky little watering can, complete with adoring butterflies.

It’s more than meets the eye though, as it’s a 3 in 1 Creator set that comes with two alternative builds, so you can use the same pieces to also make a Wellington boat with flowers in it or a couple of birds on a perch… or whatever else you can think of.

Hedgehog Picnic Date – £10.99

Although a lot of Lego sets for adults can be very expensive some are the complete opposite and clearly intended for people new to the hobby.

This cute little set features a pair of hedgehogs having a picnic, as one gives his friend a red rose for Valentine’s Day. And, judging by the basket, a bar of chocolate.

The Fauna Collection – Macaw Parrots – £44.99

Wall art has also become a big thing for Lego lately, with recreations of The Great Wave and van Gogh’s The Starry Night. There’s also a DIY set of modern art or this pair of gaudily coloured parrots.

Again, the fact that there’s two of them makes it perfect to make them at the same time as someone else, or just help them find the pieces while they work.
