Valentine’s Day Art Materials

I LOVE letting the kids have a creative outlet through various art projects throughout the year. I find that they are especially keen on creating when there’s a holiday theme involved! And Valentine’s Day is no exception.

With that in mind, I like to stock up on art supplies at the beginning of each month. During February, I tend to pick up supplies that work well for valentine art projects. Here is my list (I may get commissions for purchases made through links in this post):

This is just a list of a few general suggestions. I always suggest digging through the supply closet for inspiration first. It doesn’t really matter what’s on the list of supplies, as long as the kids are allowed the opportunity to create!

Have each student design their own heart and then put them together to make a DIY clay heart mobile. This is the perfect collaborative art project for Valentine’s Day.

If you have a box, some heart-shaped doilies, and a few marbles, then you have the makings of an incredibly fun preschool Valentine’s activity. Another great process art option!
