We don’t get up here often enough. This is the best pizza. They also have a full selection of other food & amazing desserts. Great food, great service. Nothing more you need to know.

The food is prepared with love and respect. The customers are treated the same way. I always love the Broccoli Rabe and the sandwiches and coal-oven pizza they put it on. The pastries are as good as it gets out here in the sticks. Thanks!

After reading the reviews, we decided to make a stop to grab lunch after skiing. Stepping in there’s a lot going on. Bakery, deli and pizza which seem like an odd combination, but there’s something for everyone. It’s truly a deli where they placed random tables into the center for an eat-in option. (Made the most out of the space). The pizza was delicious and fresh! My family and I (2 adults and 2 kids) ordered a margarita pie (half w mushrooms) and it was fabulous. Everything was fresh– mozzarella, basil, shredded Parmesan cheese, and FRESH roasted garlic. Will come back for that next time! We bought some pastries as well which was yummy but shocked at the price. Staff was nice and attentive. If you’re in the area, I do recommend stopping in for the pizza.

We stopped off at this little place because we needed water and a washroom. We came out with an AMAZING cherry pie with crumble topping, variety of cookies and luscious mini cannoli. I was very tempted to get some of the pastas and salads, but we had already had lunch. If you happen to be driving up this road, pull over and indulge yourself.

After a day of driving we stopped at this homey little pizza place. My husband always a bit apprehensive because the last time we were up North We stopped at a pizza joint and it was awful. My husband was happy to know this place is also a deli and bakery. He ordered a burger and I ordered the pizza. The pizza was so good my husband almost ate my whole slice. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming and the staff was very friendly.

Best woodfire pizza in town. We will come back when we’re in town. Good customer service and friendly. They also have goodies like peanut butter cookies… but they have more if you’re looking for some sweets. Stop by and try it.

Great pizza. It’s usually my go to. Their crust is probably the best part of the pizza. It has a nice chew to it, and is nice and soft and not dry. I normally get the mona lisa with sauce. They definitely don’t skimp on the toppings and add lots of fresh garlic. I’ve had the clam. It definitely tasted of more bacon than clam. However, leftovers the next day had a stronger clam flavor. I’ve also gotten the eggplant pizza which a little heavy and greasy because it’s topped with fried, breaded eggplant. The veggie pizza is good. It does have olives on it, but is still missing a salt component to it in which a little sprinkle of parmesan on top does the trick. The only thing I would change is their fresh mozzarella. It’s not as creamy as it should be and is kind of bland.

Stopped on my way back from Connecticut. What a surprise. When I walked in the door it resembled your average convenience store… with a beautiful brick oven in the corner. Looks very out of place. Nevertheless, it was a welcome site, having seen nothing decent, quick and easy to eat within 30 miles north of here. Ordered a large brick oven pie, half plain and half meatball and pepperoni. The pie was piping hot as it was brought to the table by the friendly creator of said pie. The crust had a bit of char (which I like). The meat and pepperoni were pretty solid, and the sauce was flavorful, with a little bit of tang. Where this pie falls a little short is in the queso department. I found the motz had a bit of an odd taste to it. It wasn’t bad or inedible, it was just not my thing. All in all, I swallowed three slices in the space of 4 minutes. So it couldn’t have been that bad.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. The deli counter looked like it was cranking out some nice sandwiches (thought I saw a Philly cheesesteak pass by that looked pretty damn good). Lest I forget, decent bathroom. And the wing chairs were a nice touch.
If I come through these parts again, I would definitely return. Very solid all around.

Great place for a variety of things from Italian to sweets. Fast service, friendly staff, reasonably priced. Great pizza, by the slice if you like. Scrumptious sandwiches. Huge selection of deserts. Small area outside to eat. Give it a try.

This a review for those seeking gluten free. If it were also organic or local I’d give this little roadside place a 5. I stopped in on a Sunday evening hungry and craving pizza which ive mostly stopped ordering out because of the prevalence of soggy crusted disappointing gluten free pizza not to mention the uninterested staff. But Cousins was a pleasant surprise. The young woman at the register told me that all of the staff tries their products and they got a new kind of crust in that gets crispy and holds up. The young man making pizzas told me how they make the sauce and spoke with pride. They loaded on broccoli raabe with garlic. And it was delicious!

Not a whole lot going on in these parts.
So, with that in mind, this is a decent deli & bakery & pizza place.
Hot & cold entrees to go.
Made to order sandwiches/wraps/grinders.
Well stocked shelves of baked goods: muffins, pies, cannoli, cupcakes, pastries etc.
The staff is friendly but my sandwich was wrong. She was well meaning but I was annoyed once I had driven away, reached my destination & opened up the wrapping to find no cheese & no hot peppers :(
Prices are decent for the portion size.

Stopped here because of a recommendation that I got from a friend. Went in at 11:30 a.m. for breakfast sandwich saw delicious foods and I was ready to buy, but when I ask the lady if she could make me a breakfast sandwich she replied «no, we stopped making breakfast at 11. We can make a BLT?» However, I wanted a breakfast sandwich, so I left and went down the road to a place that would give me a breakfast sandwich. This place looks like they make them to order, what happens after 1130? Do the eggs fade away? Does the grill turn off? I don’t know, but they did turn away money. I would have bought their other food items such as coffee, pastry, ETC. Consumer suggestion… Maybe we consider having a breakfast anytime policy to make more money that way.

We stop in for some pastry kind-of desserts and good coffee now and then. Claim a table with a good view of a TV and rent a few square feet of the place for an hour or so.
Mind-boggling selection of baked goods to choose from and really good coffee.
The girls behind the counter are friendly and helpful. You feel warm and welcome. Buy something tasty, a cup of rich coffee, and hang out at a table for as long as you want. It’s a comfy and familiar kind of place. Feels more like a relative’s kitchen than a business.

We ordered pizza from here last weekend and I foolishly expected it to be similiar to NYC zza. If you’re not expecting great thin crust pizza, then you won’t be too disappointed.
The specialty pizzas were good, we ordered the basic margarita and some kind of meat-lovers pizza. Both were priced about $ 18. My complaint would be the amount, or lack there of, of toppings. The toppings were minimal and lacking equality spread about the pizza, which for consistency, weight and leverage of the pizza (see it can get very scientific) is needed. The pizza was certaintly not thin crust, nor burnt but if you’re not expecting nyc pizza its good. The dough was good and chewy and the cheeses were good.
Overall the pizzas were good, nothing to brag about, but if I am in the area again I’d go back for the specialties.

Cousin’s Café — Excellent deli, bakery, coffee and food! From your average NY style sandwich to their homegrown desserts, salads and hot plates, Cousin’s is the best (maybe the only) deli in Wingdale and Dover period! Tony, his Wife Vickie and their staff are some very nice people. They take time to know who their customers are and he’s an ex-new yorker from the Bronx — So we clicked well :) They are a bit pricey but — for the food they are giving you, it’s OK!
