Mrs. Wright, wife of the late Joseph M. Wright, died Monday, Oct. 30, 1995. Born in Durham, N.C., she was a graduate of Hampton Institute and received her master's degree from North Carolina College.

She was principal of St. Helena and Robert Smalls elementary schools and was a public-school administrator and a former librarian at Barber Scotia Junior College, North Carolina College and Tuskegee Army Air Force Base. She was a member of the Beaufort Board of Education and the Board of Architectural Review, the state Mental Health Board, the Red Cross, the Community Advisory Board and the Historic Beaufort Foundation Board. Surviving are nieces and a nephew. Margaret Smith, retired from Mental Health Services for Margaret Pinckney Smith, 71, of 1702.

Smith died Friday, Nov. 3, 1995. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Francis Morris and Caroline Walker Pinckney. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, she received a master's degree in social work from Columbia University of New York. She retired from the S.C.

Department of Mental Health and was a member of Junior League, Colonial Dames, the Assembly and Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Surviving are her husband, L. Cooper Smith of Columbia; a son, Cooper Smith Jr. of Columbia; a daughter, Caroline Laney of Columbia; and brothers, Francis Pinckney of Charlotte and Cotesworth Pinckney of Greenville. Baskins died Friday, Nov. 3, 1995. Born in Tennessee, he was a son of Mildred Adams Baskins and the late Allen Baskins. Mrs. Parr, wife of the late Dr. Johnstone Parr, died Friday, Nov. 3, 1995. Born in Birmingham, she was a graduate of the University of Alabama and was a math teacher.

She retired as chairwoman of the Streetsboro High School math department. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa, Church of Christ-Congregational of Kent, Ohio, and the First United Methodist Church in Hemingway. She was a member of the NSDAR and the American Association of University Women. She received the Girl Scout Golden Eagle Award. Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen Hamilton of Conway; sons, William Parr of Columbus, Ohio, Henry Parr of Ravenna, Ohio, and Morris of Birmingham, a sister, Linnie Hewett of Nashville; and one grandchild.

Abraham died Friday, Nov. 3, 1995. Born in London, England, he was a son of the late David and Helen McCormack Abraham. He was a member of the Unitarian Church of Columbia and the Carolina Bird Club.
