CHAPMAN, Dawn E. (Wilson) Dawn E. (Wilson) Chapman, 76, of East Glastonbury and a winter resident of Ruskin, FL, beloved wife of Gilbert J. Chapman died Tuesday, (November 19, 2002) at Hartford Hospital. Born June 24, 1926 in Hartford, daughter of the late Grant and Florence (Peterson) Wilson, life long resident of Glastonbury.

Dawn was secretary for Francis Knox the superintendent of schools in Glastonbury, and was corporate secretary of New England Blacktop, Glastonbury before retiring in 1998. She was a life member of the Glastonbury United Methodist Church, where she was known for her fudge and hot sweet mustard. She was a member of the former women's auxiliary at Company Besides her husband of 53 years, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Holly and James Gustafson of South Glastonbury; a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and John Vullo of Glastonbury; and leaves her extended family of many nephews, nieces and dear friends. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m.

Hayes, 82, a lifelong resident of Meriden, died Tuesday, (November 19, 2002) at The Bradley Home with his children at his side. He was the devoted and beloved husband of the late Dorothy Ritchie Hayes, who died in 1997.

Born on February 9, 1920, he was the son of James P. and Louise L. iden High School 1938 and Hayes. Steve graduated from Merserved in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II.

He was employed at several local companies as a tool and die maker. A meticulous craftsman, he helped numerous people with his many skills. As a member of the First United Methodist Church of Meriden for 62 years, he gave his time and talents to the church, serving on numerous committees. He particularly enjoyed singing in the choir throughout his membership. Steve served as a faithful volunteer and board member at the Meriden Soup Kitchen.

For the last nine years, he lived at The Bradley Home, where he became an important and loved part of his new community and where he continued to put his talents to work for the benefit of the Home. Steve was a gentle and humble man whose positive nature and generous service touched many lives. Steve is survived by a son and John and Gail Hayes of Durham; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and James Morris of Durham, NC, and Sarah and Daniel Gilligan of Windsor; six grandchildren, Jay and Will Morris, Kimberly and Timothy Hayes, and Amy and Lauren Gilligan; a brother- and sister-in-law, Charles and Arline Ritchie of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews. Born in Hartford on November 13, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Maria Palma (Serafini) Donatelli. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and lived in Pennsylvania for 15 years before she and her family moved to East Hartford many years ago.

Before her retirement from Travelers Insurance Co. she was employed by the Dillon Mailing Bureau. Millie was a volunteer at the American Lung Assn. for over 25 years. She was an amazing cook and was well known for her pizzelles.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Francis V. Gasper; her siblings, Dominic, Benjamin, Valentine, Louis, Mary Donatelli and Julia Mauro. Millie is survived by daughter, Mary Taylor and her husband, Thomas of East Hartford; a son, Joseph Gasper of West Hartford; daughter-in-law, Esther Gasper of East Hartford; grandchildren, Anthony Gasper and his wife Linda, Maribeth Cunha and her husband Todd, and Tina Gasper. Millie also leaves an extended family of nieces, nephews and many cousins. The funeral is Saturday, at 10 a.m.

"Hank" Pearson, 56, of Alexandria, VA, on Monday, (November 18, 2002) beloved husband of Jacqueline Blais. Also survived by two sisters, Margaret Giard of Mystic, and Pamela Berry of Groton; a brother, Richard of Groton; and 14 nieces and nephews. FOSS, Raymond O. Raymond O. Foss, 77, beloved husband of Noella (Landrie) Foss, died on Tuesday (November 19, 2002) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Born in Hyde Park, VT, on November 22, 1924, son of the late Otto and Anna (Flanders) Foss, he had lived in Wethersfield for 45 years before moving to Windsor in 1994.

Before retiring in 1987, he was a machinist for Allen Manufacturing for 36 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, was past Post Commander of VFW Post 9945, Wethersfield and was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Rocky Hill. Mr. Foss was a life long avid Red Sox fan.

He loved trucks, truck driving, old cowboy movies, his tools and work shop and he loved playing the harmonica. His most favorite love was his family and friends. The entire Carney family would like to give special thanks to family, friends, neighbors and all the St.

Francis Hospital Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care staff. He was a communicant of St. Gertrude's Church. Hartford, CT 06105. Inez (Zanotelli) Marzetta, of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Arnaldo Marzetta, died Tuesday, (November 19, 2002) at YaleNew Haven Hospital. She was born in Livo, Italy, a daughter of the late Oreste and Giuditta (Mengoni) Zanotelli and resided in West Hartford for the last 40 years. Inez was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church.

She was employed by the Blue Bell Mattress Company for many years, prior to organizing the Unique Upholstery of West Hartford which she operated for 20 years. Inez is survived by her beloved sisters, Angelina Bonani and her husband Bruno, of West Hartford, and Rosa Rodegher, of Hartford; her brother-inlaw, Andrea Zorzi, of East Hartford; her nieces and nephews, Oreste Rodegher, Raphael Zanotelli, Dorothy Chasse, Elma Fusco, Fred Bonani, Judy Caponetto, Daniel Zorzi, and Andrew Zorzi; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Yale New Haven Hospital, specifically Dr. Lacy and Dr. Whorf and her nurses, Marianne Brennan and Cynthia Rigsby for their loving care.

She was predeceased by her sister, Onorina Zorzi. Her funeral services will be held Saturday, 9 a.m. from the Fisette-Batzner Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, West Hartford.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Friends and relatives are invited to call Friday, from 6-8 p.m. at Fisette-Batzner. Memorial donations may be made to the National Shrine of St. Jude, 205 West Monroe Chicago, IL 60606.

TIGGETT, Deacon Kim LeRoy Deacon Kim LeRoy, Tiggett of Bi Bloomfield departed this life Sunday, (November 17, 2002) in Hartford. He was born in Hartford to William Tiggett of Virginia and Alise Tiggett of Hartford. Besides his parents, in his passing he leaves a devoted wife, Evangelist Kim B. Tiggett; daughter, Michelle Blocker; grandmother, Flossie Williams; seven brothers; five sisters; four brother-in-laws; five sister-in-laws; five uncles; five aunts; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives; god children and friends.
